Birthday Party

Saturday we celebrated our girl with our family and friends.  We all piled into our house; the back yard was a mud pit due to several days of rain before.  Thankfully, the ac guy was able to fix our air conditioner right before everyone got here, otherwise it could have gotten a little miserable.  Who would have expected to need the ac in the middle of March?

Aunt Katie made the banner for the kids to color on.

Van was so sweet.  He had the pink roses delivered to Karis on her birthday.  He is smitten with his little girl.

I covered the house in pictures.  The guests were instructed to take their favorites home.
That pink balloon stayed floating until last night.  She enjoyed it very much.
Since we have plaster walls, it is hard to temporarily hang things, so I covered our frames with pictures of our girl.  I looked a little silly, but I succeeded in covering our wall in Kare.

Given the amount of time (and balloons) involved in the making of this, it will likely make an appearance at several more birthdays.

We had bubbles on the porch, but I think this was the only time they were used.

Bubbles and balloons to take home.

I had to wake her up from her abnormal morning nap, so she was still holding on to her lovie.

This picture appropriately catches the chaos that was gift opening.  How blessed we are to be surrounded by so many little ones.  I wouldn't have had it any other way.
Sarah made her this adorable crown!

Note the line that formed as soon as the slide was assembled.

She didn't know what to think about the candle.

She was a dainty eater, and she loved it.
Here dad, try it.
